I don't want to get into an OS skirmish, but the things you've
mentioned are a little squirrely. 'Home' and 'End' work fine on almost
any app, certainly on Mail and Safari. Most of the programs I use have
hot key equivalents for most of the menu commands, just like the MS
Office software. If you need more use System Preferences to define
them. If you need something fancier you can script it with AppleScript,
Perl or Python or use QuickKeys or some freeware equivalent. Printing
selections from web pages is trivial--I do it all the time with Safari.
You can also have Safari fill out personal information on web forms and
enter passwords if you like. And you can tab between text boxes on a
web form to enter anything else--no need to use the mouse.
Again, I'm not starting an OS war--consider this an offer of assistance
if you want to get in touch off list.
If the things you mention are the most complicated issues you've got
with OS X, I think I can help straighten you out.
