Website Improvements

Assuming that listmembers actually check out the main site occasionally, what improvements/additions would you like to see?

I confess to not paying enough attention to the website recently and it's pretty static.

One thing I have been thinking about is making the main page/site user-customizeable, so that visitors can modify its content to their preferences. For example, users could choose to display local information (say, weather, local news) within a "box" on the page. RSS feeds are another option, as is a preview of the most recent messages to this list.

Most of this kind of stuff is beyond my abilities as a web designer, so it will have to be done professionally. If some of you out there are familiar with HTML, CSS, Javascript and so-called "Web 2.0" technology, feel free to comment (if it's overly technical, maybe offlist would be better).

For the time being I've decided that replacing this list with a web board isn't the way to go, as many long-time members prefer this email format.

Please send your suggestions along and I'll start a list of possible changes.
