Our contractor uses UPP for buried fuel pipelines at retail outlets construction.
There are two types of pipe: primary and secondary containment. Both types have a polyamide inner barrier layer "fuel proof". For more information see www.petrotechnik.com

Pavel

I do not know the product. I can imagine that the PP is inside the PE as PP suffers from UV degradation. I wouldnt have thought that ASME B31.3 or ASME 31.4 would allow the use of thermoplastics for white oil etc transmission.

AS 2885 only covers steel pipelines.

Hi Geoff

greetings from Melbourne. Have you had anything to do with uPP pipe as used in white oil petrol, avgas etc) transmission? I have never heard of it, but it looks a little like PE with a thin pp liner. Any problems with it?

Cheers

Steve
