Danish,
It would be more appropriate if you have described why you choose Duplex SS for your case. Duplex SS generally used for Highly corrosive (90% case like SCC, Pitting corrosion, Crevice Corrosion, Fatigue Corrosion etc)/High temp.cases (when 316 L cant meet these harsh services. It is most expensive as well. (Except Special alloy steels, Nickel...etc)
However considering your choice of material is logical, Sandwik UK is best known manufactuer of these.

This site also has datasheet for Duplex Stainless steels (2205)
Sandwik says: "Seamless tube and pipe in Sandvik SAF 2205 is supplied in
dimensions up to 260mm outside diameter."
That the limit it seems...
Welded Pipe & fittings should not be a problem unlessâ¦â¦.
Welds are subjected to Stress Corrosion Cracking. Ex: Presence of High strength caustic @ moderate/high temperatures.
Welds are subjected to Sulphide stress Cracking. Ex: Presence of H2S as described in NACE MR 075
Welds are subjected to High temp. Hydrogen attack. See the following links. http://mm03.phys.rug.nl/~giessen/paper658.pdf http://www.nde.com/hydrogen.htm
Finally if you have to go for Welded pipe & fittings (for size reason) use longitudinal welded pipes & fittings only. Not Spiral welded ones.
Also importantly take care of Pre & post weld heat treatment requirements (as necessary).

Zeron is Super duplex Stainless steel (24-26% Chromium). There are few cases where you have to choose these Super grades.

Dear All,
Please provide your valuable input on this topic for, Martensitic Stainless Steel Pipe fittings UNS S31803 (Duplex Stainless Steel)
Service: Gas, Non Sour
Line class: 900#
Pressure: 12,000 KPa
Temperature: 130 C
I am informed by the vendor that seamless pipe fitting for duplex stainless steel for size greater than 8" is not manufactured anywhere. Is it true?
Is there any manufacturer who can provide DSS pipe fittings for size 10", 12" & 22".
As an alternative can we go for welded pipe fittings for above mentioned pressure and temperature? Please suggest what is the difference between Seamless & Welded fittings in terms of integrity of the system.
ASTM A 815 (Specification for Martensitic Stainless Steel Piping Fittings) Para 1.1.1 & 17.1.5 mentions about the seamless or welded configuration.
Thanks & Regards,
Danish
