I'm aware that GDE based on ASME VIII, but it's only for its pressure design. It's bandlock is not a requirement of ASME VIII. I'll keep you posted if I can find it.

Mr. Satria,

I believe the answer is ASME BPVC section VIII, but I am not 100% that there is no other code that cover this subject.

I am also doing work for BP in Colorado, USA and I would appreciate a follow up if you find which code govern this issue.

I have spec'd and installed several enclosures mostly Sentry and GDE Bandlock 2. I always spec'd them per ASME Sec. VIII, Div 1 for B31.3 plants.

Any idea what Int'l Code or Regulation that covers requirement of double locking closure for vessel or pig traps, such GD Engineering Bandlock 2 design ?

They preferably applicable Internationaly such API, ISO, OSHA, etc. But UKOOA,BS, EN, NORSOK also considerable.
