The ASME has a short course on pump and valve selection for process systems. There is a course scheduled for San Francisco, California, USA in June or July. Go to www.asme.org and check the catalog. I suspect that API also has a class. In my experience, the better suppliers have some good training and information, even though they promote their own valves. Talk to 2 or 3 of them to get an overview. Often their classes are less costly and conducted much more frequently, including on demand.

Anyone aware where can I find training / course for valves ? Preferably conducted by an institution, not valve manfacturer which tendency to present their product.
