I really don't know why I put that appeal in my replies to the list, as there are almost never any followups to my comments.

There are a few possible reasons for this:

• nobody cares
• I'm just talking to myself anyway
• readers assume I know everything
• I am usually wrong
• readers enjoy watching me make a fool of myself
• readers are afraid I'll bite them (being listowner)
• my comments are actually irrelevant
• fear of appearing to be ignorant
• readers already knew that anyway

Please let me know which combination of possibilities is true.

I'm not at the stage yet where I'll take my ball and go home crying to Mommy.
