   I know you can also thread them, just so long as you thread plastic into    metal and not vice versa.

   I am wondering that how did you come to know about numbers of methods    available to join metallic pipe with plastic one but don't know about their    details. As per my knowledge you can join them by using flange connection of    same ratings.
