pipe and tube are closed condute used for flowing of liquid and
gas .. the major difference is pipe is defined by NPS and thickness
by schedule where tube is by outer dia . pipe has only circule shape
but tube may be rectangular , square and circular. but after 14" and
above pipe can be called as tube, because after 14" and above nps of
pipe is equal to OD.
That's more than enough to understand difference between pipe and
tube.
