AJ - forgot to mention that there are pressure bleed / equalization fittings required (normally 2") as well -which can be independent extra hot tap fittings, or integrated into your main 42" main hot tap fittings. these connections are required to relieve pressure differential to allow hot tap fitting / machine / line stop setting / removal. If you have some upstream & downstream existing taps in your main line these could possibly be eliminated.
