  1. Paul has already given some links on B31.3, I am giving it again. Have a good reading. But it is of old editions. I would suggest before knowing the difference, you should know the basics of atleast one to understand the comparision. So spend some hours reading and applying any one of the code.

2) Look at the MSDS of the service you are handling to know the category and hazardousness of the fluid to health, environment etc.

3) This being part of academics...may be you have bunked too much to miss it. Why not google .....thermal expansion......for more understanding if missed everything...?

I think you have put some written test questions here. Lastly, I would suggest everyone to exploit the forum in the right spirit like something you don't find in books and in the web.
