Control valves are sized based (among other factors) on Flow Coefficient ( valve CV ) , giving normally reduced seizes, but not always.

   whay control valves are usually one size less than pipe size...what is    the use of this reduction..but in some cases i have seen control valves    same as pipe size...can u guys tell me why?
