Spacer on a 8 2500# RTJ Flange

An oil & gas client wants to have spacer/spade on an 8" 2500# flange. Now the problem is that the location where this is required is between two oil gathering manifolds on the test header. The space is tight. Piping is rigid. So what should be done. Requirement is to provide valve and spacer. The space to give these two items is there, but how to change the spacer to spade once the piping is constructed, as the piping will be very rigid.
