      Butterfly valve length is not as same as for gate valve. So pls make sure of the type of valve. Butterfly valve length is lesser than the gate valve. This is my opinion.

           Help me - "Butterfly" is just a style of valve, the actual valve is manufactured in "Wafer", Lug" & "Extended"(Same as gate valve) bodies. Also there are different rating classes available (150#, 300# etc.) Each of these different options will have different overall lengths.
