The firsts thing you need to do is learn how to ask question properly. An open-ended question like this is only going to get you flamed or bombarded with stuff that'll sound like nonsense. try doing some reading on your own--start with all the references and articles at the piping design main site. Then start doing Google searches on terms you're interested in. One other thing--don't call yourself a piping designer until you know a helluva lot more than you apparently do. You'll just get a lot of grief from real piping designers.
