To use certain material for certain application, you have to some basic questions..such as..

  1. Is this part of piping to be validated against any international or local codes / standards / rules?
  2. If "YES", did you checked those codes/standards if CPVC is a permissible material?
  3. Did you check with CPVC vendor if CPVC pipe could operated at your design temp./pressure?
  4. Did you check with Vendor whether CPVC will deteriorate due to sun UV rays?
  5. In this CPVC is used in that plant for similar pressure & temperatures?

If you pass all the above questions then, next stage is designing..

in a powerplant we have blowndown tank normally consists of condensate from boiler and from that blowndown tank i want to use CPVC pipe , this pipe runs underground and gets connected to another tank. now my question is can we use CPVC pipe other than any CS pipe
