Hydrotest in PVC pipes

Gentlemen
Generally, after Hydrotesting a pipe spool, we do Golden Welds.
Do we have something similar to this in hydrotesting of PVC pipes? What would be best way to test the PVC joints which cannot be hydrotested?
Please comment on this.
