Yes Sajit you got me right. Now the point is this whether it is really a fire hazard? Such small current can result in electrical flash? Or there could be another reason except safety. Or do you guys have seen this mitigation clause in any of the procedures in another other major players in this business of refinery or petrochemical plants.

It seems to me Arif's concern is not about the pipe getting corroded
during
the time the CP is off. It is more to do with having an electrical
connection on to a line that may pose the risk of a flash.
However considering that, eventually when the pipeline is in operation
the
CP has to be in place and the same possibility remains.
