Effect of non-recommended up/downstream distances on flowmeter accuracy

There
is much documentation on recommended up and downstream straight distances for flow element installation. However I have been unsuccsessful in finding the numerical impact on accuracy decrease if the recommended distances are not achieved. Has anyone located any information on this topic? Ideally I am hoping expect someone has taken some measurements and published a paper. Thanks
