That's OK if the particular detail truly doesn't matter. But if the
contractor follows your lead and does something really bad, you'll be
on the hook for it. I'd think that would really be the case if your
contractor puts in a Victaulic connection in a high pressure line
that the Victaulic clamp can't handle.. Or vice versa put in a
flanged fitting where the owner required a quick opening connection.
