For what it is worth:

1. if you have a damp or wet atmosphere or chance of anything condensing or dripping on the pipe, especially near the CS/SS joint, insulate
2. what is the source or purity of your N2 service? If this is cryogenic, then there is no liquid. If it is from a pressure swing adsorption system, some water will potentially condense out. If a membrane, maybe some condensate there, too.
3. generally N2 can vent to atmosphere, but check client and local regulations and practices. If it will discharge to an enclosed space that may be occupied, you might need to include an axygen monitor in the room and alarm when the O2 level is too low (suggesting a N2 discharge and inadequate ventilation).

For me it should be as 78% of air has nitrogen and nitrogen being a inert gas should not be a problem.
