Bentley Systems, Incorporated, announce the release of Bentley® AutoPIPE® 6.3, which incorporates the European Standard for Metallic Industrial Piping, also known as EN 13480.

Bentley AutoPIPE 6.3 pipe stress analysis program includes a new European piping code library, which incorporates a comprehensive list of EN 13480-compliant codes complete with standardized names and properties. The new industrial piping standard specifies the requirements to which all design and construction of European industrial piping systems must conform. The new standard, adopted in November 2002 by the European Union, helps ensure safe operations and also supports global trade by reducing technical barriers and superseding previously conflicting piping codes.

AutoPIPE offers engineers fast, efficient model creation and analysis using an intuitive graphical interface. Pull-down menus enable engineers to choose from AutoPIPE's broad set of international code libraries the local and national codes that their piping designs must meet. Extensive help files within Bentley AutoPIPE document the use and assumptions required for implementing codes during a design session.

Bentley AutoPIPE 6.3 is available for download by Bentley SELECT® subscribers from Bentley's SELECTservices Online. For more information, go to www.bentley.com/plant. or call (USA)+1 610 458 5000 or (UK) +44(0) 1372-720700.

About Bentley AutoPIPE

Commercially available since 1986, Bentley AutoPIPE is used in the plant industry for the calculation of piping stresses, flange analysis, pipe support design, and equipment nozzle loading analysis under static and dynamic loading conditions. Bentley AutoPIPE meets stringent QA standards, making it one of the few PC-based pipe stress programs approved for use in nuclear safety applications. It is used extensively in the design of land based process plants and also has a large user base in offshore subsea pipeline and riser analysis.
