(Piping Design Central was founded in 1998 as a web-based resource for piping design professionals) Webmaster and designer. Internet research, website and automated email list conceptualization, creation and maintenance. Website design for various commercial clients. HTML programming, CSS implementation, Photoshop, GIMP, Paint Shop Pro, Arachnophilia, Word, Netscape Communicator/Composer, Microsoft Internet Explorer, Excel, FTP, Javascript code manipulation. Also, various piping design-related short-term contracts have been performed (AutoCAD R14/2000i and some Cadworx experience).

Metallurgy

Rebis AutoPLANT v1.1 Senior Piping Designer/modeler, using AutoCAD R14 on networked Windows NT 4.0. Piping design and modeling, Isogen extraction and debugging. Rebis level one training certificate. Thermal Quench 2 Unit, HCl-handling, FRP piping.

Senior Designer for Bulk LN2, LOX, LH2 (and other products) supply and On-Site generation options for existing and potential clients. Autocad R14. Drafting supervision, R&D work, involvement in implementation of design and drafting standardization of new technology. Design/drafting support and coordination for 18 Customer Centres across Canada.

Designer on-site at Union Carbide facility in Montreal East. Worked on combined H.C./E.O. flares project, concentrating mainly on ethylene oxide collection system piping design and layouts. Field work.

Designer employed on various upgrade projects for Petro-Canada refinery. Piping design, drafting, scopes of work, contract preparation, liaison with other disciplines, drafting supervision, etc...Field work.

Worked on Ponderay newsprint TMP plant. Pump suction drawings, isometrics and comprehensive MTO were completed. Also worked on piping GA’s and section drawings, coordination with Piping Group Leader and Mechanical Group.

Participated in Norsk Hydro Magnesium Project (Bécancour) as Intermediate Piping Designer. Mechanical equipment location drawings, piping arrangements and layouts for process utilities. Inter-disciplinary coordination.
