Piping design is an engineering discipline that is involved in the production of technical documents. These documents include the technical drawings, engineering models, specifications and bills of materials required to construct a process facility such as a refinery, pulp and paper mill or chemical plant. The "Gap" refers to the difference between older, more experienced professionals who are not necessarily computer experts and the newer piping practitioners who have extensive knowledge of software and hardware. PipingDesign.com aims to "close the gap".
