NASA Software Is Not Flexibility Piping Stress Analysis

The free software from NASA, "Piping Stress Analysis Software, KSC Case Number: KSC-11692", is not for "FLEXIBILITY" stress analysis of piping. It can only calculate (1) the HOOP stress level in a given pipe at a given pressure, (2) the minimum pipe-wall thickness , or (3) it can find the maximum working pressure allowed by the selected code (ASME B31.1, ASME B31.3, or JIC). Temperature is ambient only. It does not handle thermal effects in piping systems as was implied by the title. Received on Tue Jan 09 00:03:00 2001
