Hi, My experience using pressue taps has included the following: If the substance being handled is of a Flammable, Hazardous or highly Viscous nature, then I would suggest using a Diaphragm Seal. This helps warding off the danger of exposure when performing maintenance on the item. Also I would use an "Inline-Type" with more surface area for highly viscous materials. I would always try to mount these seals in an upright postion to alleviate pockets of material from being trapped. Again for maintenance precautions when servicing the devices.
