Hi, My experience using pressue taps has included the following: If the
substance being handled is of a Flammable, Hazardous or highly Viscous
nature, then I would suggest using a Diaphragm Seal. This helps warding off
the danger of exposure when performing maintenance on the item. Also I would
use an "Inline-Type" with more surface area for highly viscous materials. I
would always try to mount these seals in an upright postion to alleviate
pockets of material from being trapped. Again for maintenance precautions
when servicing the devices. My two cents worth, Everett Nichols
