wachel and bates used to work for SwRI. These two guys
almost pionnered the study/investigation related to
piping vibration and pulsation. a lot of their
works/articles may be found at the edi website.
i have observed in a lot of cases that what was
predicted by the computer modeling does not happen in
real life. if the line is already exisitng, best best
is take a spectrum reading, compare with the SwRI
severity chart applying the shape factor then
re-evaluate using the fundametal laid out by wachel
and bates.
