Re: Arc Valve

Some Plant engineers do not recommend ARC for critical pump application since the operator will not be able know that ARC is working satisfactory to maintain minimum flow through pump.If ARC is not woking satisfactory , You may come to know only when pump has started devloping cavitation .The best option is to install a flow meter and control valve on minimum flow bypass line so that recirculation flow can be adjusted in even if there is a change in process parameters and pump performance curve over the period of time.
