any experience of these arrangements ?

  1. Generally the block valve, choke valve, chemical injection points and instruments are located near the well head. Our client has asked us to shift everything away from the well and near manifold (50m away) except the spectacle blind and the chemical injection point.
  2. Generally the piping from pig traps goes underground (onshore ) immidiately after the valves , barred tee and insulating joint and is anchored below ground. Our partner has asked us to provide a loop ( one elbow and two legs ) above ground and then go under ground (to compensate the displacement of U/G pipeline) to avoide anchor underground.

Although I could not find anything (codes, standards etc.) that prevents us from doing this, I have never done this. Anyone has experience of doing it this way ? Any special problems encountered during such arrangement?

-Mandar.
