Dear all,
Can anyone help me with a software for analysing transient flow thru piping, like steam and water hammer. I have searched the net and found quite a few software but I would like to have some feedback from users.
Thanking you in advance,

AFT have Fathom for steady state hydraulics and Impulse for unsteady state. You can select the model basis for friction factor from a variey of standard methods. there are also non Newtonian models and specialist models for papaer stock. They also have a program called Mercury that can be used to determine investment decisions linked to line sizing and operations. The latter software isnt cheap but is very powerful and on a multimillion dollar project will certainly allow you to optimise piping and equipment selection and costing.
Go to www.aft.com for more details.
I have no financial interest in AFT . Just a happy customer.
