For Section VIII work repair and rehab has to be done to the rules of the existing Code. I've always felt that mixing Codes is tricky business.

Truth to tell, I've never run it, although for years it was the standard. I note the REI also maintains STAAD, and I know a number of users who don't have much good to say about the way it's supported. I seen a few of STAAD's horrors myself, and I'm inclined to agree.
