Aha
so the problem is the time taken to deal with spam.
I had a look round a few, poorly moderated groups and think I see what you
mean.
So what goes wrong if you set your filters so only existing group members
(addresses) go to the "for moderation" folder, and the rest goes to the
"when I get around to it" folder? It may mean a bit of a wait for new
members (who dont know any existing members) to be approved, but what the
hell?
If you are starting a new job the last thing you would want is a spam war
every night.
Any way of sharing the load?
Cheers
Steve

Subject: Re: [PipingDesign] Future of the PipingDesign Group
These days, finding each valued "Steve" message has become an exercise in "who to not delete", as far as incoming messages go. Even with spam filtering.
I'll try to post each and every challenge as I encounter it, but I hope you will be patient.
I'm afraid that after a tough day at work I'll come home to 238 spams and just not pay attention. And then, the next day it'll be 579 messages, etc..
Then everything goes crapilicious.
