Re: Hydrokinetic Sonic Resonation

Quite interesting - thanks for the link. Although, for halda's question, it doesn't look like it's intended for the same thing as pigging pipes. The hydrokinetic seems oriented toward cleaning tubes, such as heat exchangers. But the resonance they are using (some kind of ultrasonic piezoelectric driver?) would probably get absorbed quickly if the pipe were buried or submerged in a liquid. Looking at their ad, seems oriented toward an in-plant maintenance tool for smaller, discrete components.

But this link http://www.aimmtechnologies.com/movie.html explains more.    Regards

Searching on the web I found this link http://www.aimmtechnologies.com/services.html. You will find some explanation, but more explanations are required for better understanding of such method.

     Any volunteers.

Sonic resonation pigging? Holy (wholly) esoteric ablation! Haven't heard
of that one, and I've been around gas pipelines a few years. Whassit supposed to work like?

         Guys,

Any of you have been experienced using the hydrokinetic sonic
         resonation pigging method???

         Thanx.
