Dear Ruamphon,
For Cross country Pipeline projects, we normally prepare Plan & Profile
Drawings across a distance of Kilometers.
In Plan Drawings as well as in Profile Drawings, we may require to lay the
pipeline at particular (varying degrees) angles.
Normally these Points of Intersections are referred as IP's.
I think you are refering to this IP (Intersection Points) with serial numbers 1, 2, 3...., which we normally use for Cold or Hot Induction Bends instead of normal Elbows.
The minimum Bend radius normally recomended for Pipelines with Pigging facility is 5times Diameter.(For elbows it is normally 1.5 D)
Hope this is enough to clear your doubt.
