In the letter, it should be noted that you support the concept, think it's a great idea, etc. Also, make note of your intended contributions to the project (ideas and resource material and time only, not money) and how long it would take for you to put together a package.

Why should you do this? I'd like to say that your company will get mega
recognition and billions of dollars of new business, but I'm not a liar.
