My own feeling is that you can't really automate design, because it's
intuitive and non-linear. Programmers supply the tools that make it
quicker to communicate and verify the features of the design but the
design comes from inside. The tools aren't creative and they don't
organize the effort; their main purpose is documentation and the
associated communication.
