Your situation can be applied by portions of ASME B31.3, Chapter IX, High Pressure Piping. It has special formulas for treating internal pressure and fatigue analysis of heavy wall piping components.
For the size and conditions you gave, calculations reveal an allowable pressure not even close to 40,000 psig, assuming 1 1/4Cr- 1/2Mo material.

Hi all and thanks for the great replies,
I'm supposed to verify stiffness, strength and stability of a existent facility on a local petrochemical industry.
The design pressure is 40000 psi (2800 bar) and the design temperature is 374°F (190°C).
According to the process engineer this pipeline connects two reactors and a Heat Exchanger that perform mechanicly the union of the product molecules.
