Pressure Drop Calculation

Hi!
Actually I want the correct procedure to find the pressure drop in a line.
I have downloaded some softwares like "Pressure Drop Calculator from KARF ENGG". But I am not sure about its authenticity.
Can anyone please give me in detail (with equations) the procedure to find the pressure drop. Regards
