Dear Steve,
ALL PDAs are more or less same in features. It depends what operating system you basically are interested in. The Sony and Palm are using the same called
"symbian" (never mind the spellings) and other like HP, Compaq, are using MS windows 2003 or CE.
If you live in USA, the palm is the most popular one. But they don't have mobile with PDA. These days Mobile phone - PDA combination is more popular and handy than just PDA. That is why the sale of Palm has effected because they still don't have such combination available. Buy from any big names in the market and you will have no problem in what you are looking for.
I have Qtek, which is MS windows based PC with mobile phone. If you are more interested in Aesthetics then go for any SonyErricson model.
Other wise HP ipak 5550 will be my choice for PDA alone. Imate is another PDA + Phone combination I would recommend to every body who are buying now.
Regards

AJ

Gents
the time has come to replace my low tech notebook and pencil with ond of those handheld PDA thingies.
I'm not too sure what make/model to get as I dont know what features are available, what ones work properly etc.

The only things I do know is it will need to: Work after it has been dropped
Connect easily to my desktop to transfer emails/files etc Be compatibal with MS Outlook (sorry about swearing) Have a spreadsheet, WP and an application that I can sketch on the screen with.
Theres is heaps of stuff on the net, but I am suffering from information overload and need some concise recommendations. Any advice on what I need and what I dont need would be appreciated.

Cheers

Steve
