RE: Pressure measurement lag

Hi Delfim
some pressure transmitters, and their connecting device (e.g. PLC) have electronic damping / signal conditioning built into them. The fast response input signal is time averaged so the output display does not jump around. It is normally possible to reduce the damping constant and speed up the response, at the price of a difficult to read display. The manuals will help you find what you need to adjust.

Cheers

Steve

Subject: [PipingDesign] Pressure measurement lag

Hi everybody,

I'm measuring the pressure at a very thin tap. I know that pressure transducer is quite fast and the pressure rate should be high, however I getting a very slow response. Does anybody can help me about transmission lag on piping ?

Thank you

Delfim
