The Main Site - Questions

I'm curious if listmembers visit the website and if so, do they click on the Google ads on the pages. Site page views are averaging about 1100 per day and I'm wondering if a sizeable percentage of these visits come from members of this discussion list or from other referrers like search engines, links from other sites, etc.

Just FYI, clicks on the Google ads provides a commission (most I've seen is $200 in one month), but Google's setup prevents people from abusing the system (I.E., clicking 50 times a day to artificially boost the count).

Is there any renewed interest in a web-based forum? I consider the original forums ( http://forums.pipingdesign.com/ ) to be a failure since people are staying away in droves. Perhaps a better implementation word be more successful.

Although there are over 7000 past messages at the Yahoogroups archives for this email-based format, only members can access the archives and searching can be slow and clunky due to the Yahoogroups system. The forum software I am considering claims to allow members to contribute to the system by email.
