Thanks for the comments, sorry about the terminology, you are correct that cold pull is the same as cold spring, also know as cut short. Cold push is the same as cut long, though its less common to see that in steam systems.

Green ends are the ends that are left long and do not have a weld prep on them to allow for site adjustment, they go by various names: field fit adjustment, plain end, green end and more...
