These days because most managers have never used the tools and have no idea what it takes to make them work properly.

I've been on jobs (years ago) where if you could spell PDS you were hired. I've also told management that they needed to cut 10 people to improve the efficiency of the group and they turn around and hire 20 more. Don't work smart just through more bodies at it.

We can't go back to the drafting table days but it sure did sort the men from the boys IN A HURRY.

20 years ago you could tell a poseur from a professional by sitting him in front of a drafting table.
