2002 Edition (Revision of 1999) also indicates the same limits as below:
"Flattening of a bend, the difference between the maximum and the minimum
diameters at any cross section, shall not exceed 8% of nominal
outside diameter for internal pressure and 3% for external pressure.
Removal of metal shall not be used to achieve these requirements"

Dear All,
Hi,
I am Chakra. I work in an refinery as an Inspection Engr where among many things I have to monitor the quality of fabrication as well (welding/SR & other related things)
I have an outdated edition of ANSI 31.3 (1993 ed) at hand & I have to tell the present tolerance for pipe flattening. Please tell me the tolerance specified in the present edition for ANSI 31.3 Clause K 322.2.1
Thanks in advance
