BUTT WELDS PREFERABLY IF IT IS MORE THAN #1500 CLASS OR MORE BASED ON DESIGN SELECTION KURAL

Hi all,

Has anybody seen any reference about comparing between socket weld and
butt-weld joints?
Which one is more safe in high pressure services? and what is the reason to
select each of them?
And also which one has more strength ?
