Pressure Testing of Hot Tapping Stub welded onto a high temperature line.

Hi everybody,
Is it mandatory that the the hot tapping stubs welded on to a pipe line be pressure tested before performing hot tapping operation.
If yes what is the methodologhy to be used for the pressure testing for high temperature lines (say operating at 700 deg F).I feel that hydrostaic testing using water is ruled out due to the high temperature and also the pneumatic testing using soap suds due to the same reason. Is there any alternate method or fluids that can be used for pressure testing. Thanking you in advance.
