George,

Many years ago worked on a plant using Therninol hot oil. All piping was on shoes. The underside of the shoes were fitted with a material known as "Tombo" board. It looked like a n epoxy impregnated plywood. Anchoring was achieved at the shoes. Project was for Monsanto who I believe owned Therminol at the time. I guess you might get some clues frm their website. Also Dowtherm may have something as they make a similar heating oil.

I have a job that is heating natural gas to about 500 degrees (F), for regenerating a dry bed dehydration unit. I have worked with EZline pipe supports, clamps and wedge systems, which are variants of fiber reinforced plastic (FRP), and limited to around 400 degrees. Any one have experience in steam plants or such - teflon or other materials for lining clamps, or what? I can try insulating pipe, but then I can't get a good solid retainer/anchor.

Bright ideas?

Thanks
George McKinney
