Dear all,
All gaskets need not be replaced after a hydro test.
Soft and resilient ones definitely needs replacement.
Metallic ones need not be touched. This applies to RTJ
and lens rings.
The hydro test is for checking the soundness of the
fabrication, not for the efficiency of the joint. Once
that aim is fulfilled, the containing the leaks at the
joint is a task of the fitter.
Regards.
