The point Im making is that at site where things are actually happening,
people like the pipefitter or boilermaker can not be relied on to inspect
every marking in the nuts andbolts (they number in thousands). They grab
every material they can get, stick it in, and with the impact wrench they
just fire it up.
The job of the engineer is to ensure that the bolt and nuts will work in all situations, eliminate source of error and create an environment much like an install and forget. The least number of selection, the better. Nuts and bolts are dimes and nickel in cost compared to shutdown, possible injury or keeping the environment clean.
